biography

Harriet graduated from VCA in 2004 with a Grad Dip in Dramatic Art (Design). She has a BA in fashion design from RMIT.

Harriet has designed costumes for many of Australia’s premier dance artists and companies such as Stephanie Lake (Double Blind, A Small Prometheus,  Mix Tape for Chunky Move), Gideon Obarzanek (L’Chaim for Sydney Dance Company and Assembly for Chunky Move ), Michelle Heaven (In Plan), Ros Warby (Tower Suites) and Victoria Chiu (Do You Speak Chinese and Floored). She has worked with Victorian Opera designing shows Into The Woods,  Angelique/The Bear and Snow Queen, winning a green room award for Angelique in 2011. She has collaborated with critically acclaimed contemporary theatre artist Tamara Saulwick on Pindrop and Endings, and with physical theatre company Dislocate on The Key, and on their Helpmann-nominated If These Walls could Talk. Harriet also has designed costumes for musicals, such as the aforementioned Into The Woods directed by Stuart Maunder, big budget musical Moonshadow in 2012 and Lil Abner for VCA music theatre in 2014.
